The Board of Management of St. Boden’s N.S. would like to welcome back all the pupils and parents to the new school year. We wish all our new Junior Infant pupils a fantastic and happy start on their educational journey at St. Boden’s N.S. We hope you had an enjoyable and relaxed summer holiday. Prior to the commencement of the new school term, we would like to inform you of a few changes that have taken place over the summer months within the school.
Firstly, as you can see, the website is up and running. This will be a point of contact and communication with the school community over the coming year.
In relation to staff, there have also been some changes. We are very happy to welcome Ms. Ezarah Doherty as our new Principal. We are also happy to welcome Kathleen Monagle as our new school secretary and Niamh Diver as our new and second SNA on the staff.
As a board, we are aware that a number of changes will occur in the next 12 months. We thank the school community for their patience and understanding during this time of transition. We wish everybody a happy and successful new academic year ahead. A new board was elected in December 2015. The Board of Management manages the school on behalf of the patron. There are 8 members on the board.

An Overview of the Meeting
- The need for confidentiality was mentioned in the meeting.
- All new positions within the school were ratified by the board.
- School started back on 1st September 2016.
- Electronic Roll books were ratified.
- Fire / Burglar Alarms now in use.
- Changes to morning and lunchtime supervision were ratified.
- Parents Association requested to raise funds for Interactive Whiteboard.

Final Word
